vow renewal in Key West, FL

My husband & I are considering a vow renewal in Key West, FL in January 2011. Nothing fancy, just the 2 of us, with small floral & photo package. Would love to be barefoot on the beach.

Has anyone done this? What was your experience?

I have not renewed vows in KW, so I am not speaking from experience.

Pier House is an excellent hotel in the heart of KW on the water. Pier House has a slice of beach. I will bet the event planner at Pier House is a worthy contact for your plans. I am sure they've done weddings, vows, and events on their beach to assit with flowers and photos.

I also do not have any personal experience with renewing vows anywhere, but DH and I did watch a wedding on the small beach by the LaMer House. It is run by the Southernmost Hotel and properties and they can also help you with what you want to do.

This gives you information on vow-renewals on both beaches and boats in Key West...

A boat would be cool.

We're going for our 10th wedding anniversary, but not interested in the actual vow renewal, but would like a photo package. Any recommendations for that?

The Tropical inn has exactly what you are looking for, called their Anniversary Package. My husband and I did this recently and everything was very romantic, especially the room we had, called the Gecko's Garden. Here's the link: http://www.tropicalinn.com/key-west-wedding.htm
