Perhaps check rates for hotels on Paradise. It is just a block (a BIG block) off the Strip, but closer than walking from the Strat., and most of the properties on Paradise are newer and they tend to have cheaper rates. Also check Excalibur, right on the Strip but can get good deals sometimes.

Where2travel: Could you share the link for the deal at the MGM as well? I'm considering doing half at Aladdin and half at MGM if they are the same price.. thanks!

Tricia - the $59 MGM deal I got (for my mid-Feb dates) only runs until the end of Feb and is not available for the last two nights of the month (which coincide with when you'll be in Las Vegas).

Did you get anywhere with the Aladdin offer?

I reserved the rooms at the Aladdin and am so excited to go! I also made a list of all the places everyone recommended for food and will be joining as many player's clubs as they will let me.. THANK YOU everyone for all your help.

Excellent, that's great news! I'm sure you'll be a lot happier at the Aladdin than at either the Strat or Sahara.
