Las Vegas - Monte Carlo or Mirage?

We're going to Vegas in November - Monte Carlo vs Mirage. Any opinions?

I have been to Vegas 6 times in the past 3 years, but have not stayed at either hotel. Where you stay depends on if you are renting a car, how long you are staying, and what you want to see/do (shows, casinos, etc.). Do you have a specific price range and do you only want to stay on the Strip? I guess I gave more questions than answers, but with so many hotels in Vegas, it can be tough to decide. My favorite, so far, is the Venetian (but it it pricey). For value, we stay at the 4-star Golden Nugget downtown (usually $60/night weekdays), but you should have a car to get to the Strip.
If you are strictly deciding between MC or Mirage, I would say that Mirage has the better location, mid-Strip, and it's easier to walk to other sights. The MC is further south on the Strip.

MIRAGE! All of the City Centre construction by Monte Carlo is a mess! Mirage's location is MUCH better.

I always stay at the Monte Carlo. It's like a second home for me.

Mirage has just finished a thorough renovation of all their regular rooms, except the suites. That, and better location/lack of construction, make the mirage easily the better choice.

Mirage is definately a better quality hotel if you have the $. But if you do stay in the old part, like Golden Nugget, you don't need a car. There is a $2 "Deuce" bus that goes up and down the strip all day. We easily took it from Excalibur to the Vegas outlet mall and from Excalibur to the old downtown and places in between.

Monte Carlo will definitely be cheaper, but if you can afford the difference, DEFINITELY go for Mirage. Also make sure to check out LOVE at Mirage...I saw it last month and it was amaaazing. you might be able to find a promotion that gives you some sort of discount for LOVE. Just look around.

The Mirage has a better location and has been recently updated. That would be my pick for you http://www.las-vegas.cc/hotels-resorts/MIRAGE.php

Haven't stayed at either, but Mirage is better location-wise.

I've stayed in both and my room at Mirage was much smaller than MC. Also found blackjack at MC to be much better (rules). Mirage is a better location if you want to get to Caesars and Bellagio.

Love at Mirage was great!
