Valley of Fire or Red Rock Canyon

Will try to hit both of these the day we rent a car but we are doing Hoover Dam early & if theres only time for 1 of these we were wondering which is better. Thanks

Valley of Fire. And it's closer to Hoover Dam, as well.

I agree with bookhall, if you have to choose only one, then I'd pick Valley of Fire.

Me, three - Valley of Fire. I think it's visually more interesting and the terrain more varied - there are fantastic red rock formations, arches, petroglyphs, even a slot canyon.

if you are renting a car, drive out via the interstate to valley of fire in the morning then hit hoover dam and maybe lake mead on the way back to vegas. good day trip.

Valley of Fire.

If you have time for both, go to the Red Rock first, as you may not like it after the Valley of Fire.
