Vacationing in Carmel

For our 20th wedding aniv., my wife and I are staying at the Highlands Inn Park Hyatt. Never been to the area before. Would appreciate any romantic dinner suggestions in/around Carmel, wineries to visit, also any great places to stop for lunch on our way to Carmel from SFO. I read the messages about Duarte's in Pescadero and Phil's in Moss Landing. Thanks

One of the most romantic is in your hotel! It's called Pacific's Edge and I suggest reservation right now. Another favorite of our is Casanova in a little Carmel cottage. Best winery is Chateau Julien in Carmel Valley. I love Duarte's Tavern.

M,

In addition to Pacific Edge that Kam mentioned, I would also recommend Anton and Michel as a romantic restaurant.

Located in downtown Carmel, A&M is a delightful little place that features continental food. They feature dishes such as farm-raised abelone, rack of lamb and duck. The service and ambience are wonderful (as is the food) and their wine list is top notch.

Have fun,

Davidcs

Fandango in Pacific Grove is a dress up, unique, Basque restaraunt.

Make that a third recommendation for Casanova. It's been a favorite for a long time in our household.
