Using Priceline for flights??

Thank you all for the great advice. Pat, I can see where overseas flights might be a good bet. Thye usually all do fly out in the evening.

Since I'm leaving this week on a holiday, I'll leave this booking and do it when I get back. WHen I looked at the seating, all flights seemt to have lots of seats left...

Southwest flies into Oakland now from Buffalo and will begin flying into SFO again on 8/26 from Buffalo. They typically have very low cost coast-to-coast flights. I used to live in SF and loved flying Southwest.

Lowest fare on Southwest for BUF-OAK/SFO is $248 in October, which is the same fare matched by most competitors. All with one-connection, including Southwest.

Some people like WN's FF program, no seat assignments, and liberal refund policies. Other people like the other FF programs, seat assignments, and in some case, free food.

A lot of people like Southwest, but most other airlines match their fares anyways.
