Universal Studios Orlando in April
Hi,
We will be in Orlando during the week of April 9th. We are planning on doing Universal, Islands of Adventure, and SeaWorld. If time allows we may do Disney, but we've been there 3 times in the last 5 years. We have a 13 yr. old daughter and 10 yr. old son. Anyone have any suggestions, or don't\can't miss attractions? Also, is the VIP tour @ Universal worth it? How 'bout the front of line pass? We are staying at the Vacation Village at Parkway timeshare in Kissimee @ a timeshare, not onsite. Anyone know anything about it or that area?
Thanks.

The good news is you won't be in Orlando during the spring break for the local schools (it's in March), but it will still be very busy at the parks, so yes, consider the VIP tour. Men in Black is a very fun ride - can't help you out with Islands of Adventure as every ride there would either soak me or make me sick

Regarding Islands of Adventure if you are any of your group are fans of roller coasters then this is a park for them. Fire and Ice are two suspended coasters that are intertwined and allot of fun. Spiderman is an indoor ride in 3D that even had the not so experienced rider wanting more. They do have some water rides and there is one that I can't recall the name but you all sit in a circle and go down a river you can actually get wet by the other guests shooting water guns at you lightly. But my personal favorite at Islands is the Incredible Hulk. It is fast and allot of fun and probably one of the most popular rides they have there. Enjoy yourselves.

I agree that the Express Pass is worth its weight in gold, especially on busy days. It's a separate line [not front of the line] for guests of the park's hotels. Also greatly enjoyed Men in Black-one rides and participates in the attraction, a "live" video game, The Hulk, a very good coaster and Spiderman, a sensational indoor ride with a world class catch. Also enjoyed Back to the Future and the indoor coaster, The Mummy, which terrified our 6 year olds. Pretty much loved everything except the Twister attraction.
