CNBC is reporting this deal. UA will cease to exist in 6 months. UA mileage members will get 1/2 of their total points as AA points, with the rest disaapearing. The deal was signed this morning, so it's too late to do anything with the miles at this point.
At least UA folks will not loose everything!
