AA status "purchased"

Do they give this status to everybody for 24 hrs? Just made reservations few minutes ago. Got a note: this is not your receipt. Status will be updated to "ticketed"

Just want to confirm this is their usual procedure, and I haven't done anything wrong

This is the way it works.

And if the trip involves travel on any partner, then it can take 24h or longer, depending.

I got AA on AA website. Thank you both! Now the main thing is not to let them move us back

Dayenu - just be sure to follow up. I had not gotten an email after a few days and phoned and there was a small issue with the ticketing...

This is for January, yeah, thinking in advance

First, in August, is a Fodor's GTG - we are having a long weekend there, and some Fodorites are joining us.

Then hopefully in October Sedona - I'm taking the whole family out to celebrate 20 years of leaving USSR - but the older son has not confirmed his 2 days off, so this is still in the air.

In January going to Miami for a couple of days, then a cruise to Belize and Honduras. Yes, I know, there is a political unrest in Honduras, but it's just an island off the mainland, or the cruise line might change the port.

Hi Dayenu - Just booked with AA a month or so ago our trip to Charleston with FF miles. I had to book them separately, mine and then Mr. Gio's. Mine went through to ticketed fairly fast, but his took several days. He finally called and was tood to be patient. Shortly afterward his ticketed e-mail came through. Very nervewracking!

We've never been to Belize or Honduras. Should be an interesting cruise.

Still no place to stay in Tahoe for the GTG, but I'll keep looking! I checked where you're staying but found they have no AC, so Mr. G didn't want to stay there.
