Tucan Inn or Hyatt Regency?

I have now ended up with reservations at both location for the same 2 night stay. I got the Tuscan Inn for $149.00 package including free parking, cable car ticket for 2, bay ferry ride for 2.
Then on priceline.com I got Hyatt Regency for $75.00 with no ammenities extras. Which is the better deal? We have already booked a car for the week to go napa and Monteray.
The Tuscan Inn has liberal cancellation policy.

well the two properties are not in the same class. The Hyatt Regency is preferable just hotel-wise. But the free parking at the Tuscan would make a huge difference in value.

But how do you cancel a priceline booking? Isn't it non-refundable?

You'd better stick with the Hyatt! You'll be paying for it anyway seeing as you cannot cancel a Priceline reservation.

I, like Janis, was wondering how you intended to cancel the priceline reservationsince it is nonrefundable? Seems like your best deal now wouild be the Hyatt because you would be adding another $150 to the Tuscan Inn for the money you have already put out at the Hyatt. Besides, I think the Hyatt would be the best value anyway. Even with the $38 for parking, $10 a piece for 3 day muni passes (which are not only good for the cable cars, but the buses and subways also) and the cost of the ferry ride (not sure of the cost), I am sure you will come out better costwise with the Hyatt (that would be $246 for the two nights plus the cost of the ferry ride, which I would think is surely less than $26 a person). Not only that, but the cable cars and Muni run right outside the front door and the ferry terminal is right across the street. You might also consider looking at the cost of booking a car through Budget, since there is a Budget dealer right there at the Hyatt. It would save you the price of parking and you really don't need a car in SF.

We've stayed at both this year, the most recent July 5th at the Hyatt.
Love them both but for diff reasons.

The Hyatt's LARGE room had a view of The Ferry Bldg and clock tower. Cool at night.

We really like the comfey, homey feeling of the Tuscan Inn.
Had a room in April that had a view of Coit Tower. Awesome at night.

Parking at the Hyatt was almost $40!
The Tuscan may have been $25
Your deal at the Hyatt sounds good but as mentioned, beware the no-refund at P'line.

If you stay at the Hyatt, you won't need a car for the week -- just rent it for your day trips. BART & Muni stop right in front of the hotel, as does the cable car.
