Ah, schelle, this took me a moment.
The Chessecake Factory isn't opened yet -- but looks very close. It is right in front of the Coastland Mall in town.
But there is a small "Naples Cheesecake Company that makes, sells, and ships cheesecakes, and that is indeed where the Tropical Reef is -- in the same tiny strip of shops. It's up near Vanderbilt Beach Road, facing 41.

It is a little seafood place with a kind of "cheap atmosphere". Fish is good. Friends rave. I went once and just thought it seemed overpriced and lacking in atmosphere. More the type of neighborhood reliable restaurant you'd go to because it's handy and good. Certainly not "destination" dining or anything like that. I suppose if I lived near by, I might go again.

Beside, as I recall, they don't have a bar, only beer and wine.

What I also meant to say was it is sort of a menu like Mangrove Cafe on Fifth and about the same price -- but way out of that league.

Thanks once again Patrick! I'm getting all my info from Boston by reading Naples publications. Sorry about the cheesecake snafu!
You are a wonderful resource. You should write a Naples guide book. I'd buy it!
I wish I could keep you "on call" when I get to Naples. lol

If I wrote a Naples guidebook, I'd have to do a new edition about every 6 months, since that's how often much of the restaurant scene changes around here. And it's gotten too much for me to keep up with.
