What a hard decision to make. I was leaning toward "go" until I read Pam and ailene's postings. Now, I'm not sure I would go if I were in your place. The flight is long and can be uncomfortable and not a flight I'd want to be on if "something" happened. It will be interesting to see what your doctor advises.
But, you just added a very important piece of the puzzle. Your hubby would prefer to spend time off work with you and baby than the trip to Hawaii. That would probably clinch my decision for me.
Maybe a compromise would be to find a place to go together nearby so you could bond even more before baby comes.

Hi Sara - First of all Congratulations!! You've got a whole lot of advice and I can see all sides of the issue.
I think you need to find a great OB you can trust and have a good relationship with because you never know what pregnancy will throw you. I had three difficult pregnancies, in and out of the hospital, but in the end had three very healthy daughters.
My OB was a high risk guy and he was just great. I was 20 weeks pregnant with my second daughter and flew cross country with my then 18 month old to see my Dad who was dying of cancer. My OB felt it was worth the risk because he knew it was the last time I'd see my Dad. Luckily, my Dad lived long enough just to know my daughter was born safely.
I don't want to bring you down by this sad story. But DO look for a great OB and make sure you understand each other. This will be a happy time in your life and enjoy it!

i forgot to say congratulations! i hope you have happy, healthy and easy 9 months.
trust me, you will want your husband home for as long as possible after your little one is born. so i think that would clinch the decision for me if i were in your shoes.

Congratulations! What an exciting time for you.
I am a mother of two, and did travel some while pregnant so I get a vote, too.
I wouldn't go as far as Hawaii at that point in my pregnancy. Too much can happen between now and then, and if you are one of the moms that have water retention you may be very uncomfortable for that long a flight.
It starts already: baby changes everything!
Plan a nice trip for you and hubby closer to home. Enjoy the peace and quiet...
