travel w/ baby to beach location

Going to FL with our 12 month old in April. Hotel is across street from beach and beach is quite wide. About 10-15 minute walk. Thinking about renting a jogging stroller. Ok to use jogging stroller on the beach? I've heard it works on gravel and rugged terrain. Just wondering how well it works on the beach. Thanks!

They work fine on the beach. Just make sure that you have a good sunscreen for your little one, and re-pply often. The sun can get quite strong and you may not eve realize it with a breeze. Also, when our children were that young, we took a sort of small tent to the beach and set it up to let them nap in the shade. It worked well for us.
