One of the oddest airport experiences occured last month at EWR. We took Carmel car servvice to the airport and after they let us out, we took a tram for about 7 feet and then had a 10 minute walk to the correct terminal. If it were not for an experienced driver, I would have thought they dropped us at the wrong spot. Also there were no signs on the tram.

IMDonehere, that is very strange since I frequently take a car service to EWR and always get dropped off at the curb at the correct terminal's level for checking in....

I rarely fly from EWR, but it did seem weird. We flew United.

No, was referring to dealing with escalators/elevators or stairs in Penn Station - rather than being dropped off at street level in NYC.

And just getting on and off a bus is simpler than taking the air Train and then NJ transit.

I find Penn station to be a huge pain with luggage and avoid at all costs.

Yes, the removed post was some lame troll who registered and within 15 minutes posted his ad for some lame travel website about 30 times before the editors removed him. Nothing to do with the post at all.

But it is kind of funny when the editors remove those offensive ad posts, but leave the comments about them.

Braving NJTRansit tomorrow to spend New Year's with friends.

I almost always fly into EWR and take the NJ Transit into Penn Station. I travel light, so it works well for me.

I do understand the issue with elevators and escalators at NY Penn Station though. There have been several times when the escalators aren't working, and the signs for the elevators are practically non-existent once you are in the area where you wait for the gate to be posted.

If you do plan to use an elevator, look for the directional signs around the ticket area or ask an agent at the ticket windows.

At the airport stations, the escalators & elevators always seem to be working when I've gone through.
