Tour of San Francisco
I am heading out west this coming July. I am planning on spending 2 weeks driving through California and Oregon. We have 2 days in San Francisco, I was hoping to see as much as possible in a short period of time. My friend recommended Dylan's Tours? Has anyone taken their tour? I was also wondering if someone could recommend a hotel, outside of the the city center. I am trying not to pay for parking. If anyone has any feedback, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks

There are motels with parking on Lombard St. in the Marina District, the part of Lombard that's Hwy 101, between Van Ness and Broderick St (zoom in on google maps to see the names of the motels). Also one on Broadway in Chinatown, the Royal Pacific Motor Inn for a good central location.

Columbus Motor Inn (Thx Neopatrick) on Columbus smack dab near No Beach, Chinatown, Fish/Wharf, Telegraph Hill/Coit Tower. and free parking/internet and, most times, inexpensive. Might be owned by same Co that owns the places in Mme's suggested areas/hotel.

There are many EXCELLENT donation only tours offered by SF public library. $5-10 per person ( which goes to support program, not to guide) gets you some good insight into various SF subjects. We've done a couple of dozen different ones and the volunteers that give the tours have been top notch. Google SF city guides for website and tour info.
