Bonnie, Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference, but there are legal hits in hockey, as well as illegal ones. I know that during the Buffalo series you had some complaints about penalties not being called on legal hits. Keep watching, and you'll learn the difference.

KathyK, I'm pretty well aware of what is legal and what is not, and how the envelope is pushed and downright destroyed when some of the teams feel like it. I know we can always depend on you for an opinion, though, and bless your heart, what a comfort!

jacketwatch: can you only enjoy the thread if everyone is a canes fan? You don't want to hear from anyone else? No one else can have another opinion but that the canes deserve the stanley cup? I have only participated in this Fodors site to provide travel information, I have never before this hockey series attempted to participate in other discussions off of travel topics. I find that if you don't agree with the majority on the topic, you get run off. In real life I've never had to apologize for having an opinion, and I won't now. I'm jumping off, enjoy your one minded thread, if that is what you want.
