Just checked my passport.

I was at Ladera January 1998 2bdrm suite plungepool- one time trip - Big fun, BUT
<
4 glorious stays at 4 wonderful locations in Hana

somehow the triple travel time wasn't a problem when returning to heavenly hana? go figure!

We're going to be in Maui in Feb and have been looking forward to drving the road to Hana. I just heard that it's not recommended for people with bad backs though! Wondering what all of you think? Is it a do or don't?

Other than being in a car for an extended period of time, I have no idea why someone would recommend not driving to Hana. It's a windy road not a rickety old wood slatted rollarcoaster - sheeesssh

I have a bad back & driving really bothers it.

But you make so many stops on Road to Hana that you will be able to get out often.

So go for it.

Pick up a good book like 'Hana Highway - Mile By mile'.
