The Oscars / Killington Vermont

My girlfriends & I have a decade-long tradition of taking a Killington ski vacation over the Academy awards weekend. .

Unfortunately, we just found out that the fabulous farmhouse that we rented this year has NO TV RECEPTION!!

Does anyone know where we could go with a TV (a tavern, lounge, sports bar anything?) where we could hangout, have drinks & appetizers and hijack a TV for a few hours??

any ideas are most apprectiated.

Why don't you ask the people who rented you the farmhouse for suggestions?

We'll be arriving in Killington that Sunday afternoon for a couple of nights. I guess I never thought about watching the Oscars while skiing. Anyway, I like Howard's suggestion or on Monday morning you can just buy a local newspaper and read about it.

The people who own the farmhouse apparently spend no time in this house which is why they have no service. There is a big TV but they only use it for DVDs.

And for a group of fun friends who love to ski, love the movies, and enjoy each other's company, our Oscars-Killington tradition is always a blast!

now to find a Tv.....

well I'm with you, I like to watch and not wait for the next day, - a group of us usually do dinner and drinks and have a pool where we fill out ballots and the one with the most winners gets the kitty ! -

I would say try calling Killington resort and ask if any of the bars, taverns are maybe having an oscar night or if they know of a nearby restaurant, etc
or try google search - if that comes up zero I think your only choice is, as soon a syou arrive, to become friendly with a bartender in/around killington who has a tv and bribe him off to keep the oscars on for you all night ! good luck !
