Thanksgiving Vacation for 16 Help!

Our extended family looking for Thanksgiving getaway on a tight budget. We only have about $2600 - $3,000 for 5 nights. Any creative suggestions out there? We checked the FL keys (within driving distance) but private houses just out of our range. Also checked into houseboats on the St. Johns River. Open to anything in Florida (except Orlando!). Ages are 13 and up.

That's $32.50 per person per night. Good luck.

Try condos on Siesta Key or Clearwater Beach. Both of these places have sugar fine sandy beaches and lots of 2 bedroom, sleep 6 people condos. I don't know the prices for that time of year, but you can Google and try to get some numbers.

for that many people? Hostel! You'll probably be the only ones there.

16 people is NOT a vacation, it's an endurance test.

rb, you really need to stop holding back. Tell us how you really feel about things......

FLheart, to get a house that size you are going to have to go to a cooler (temp wise) location.

Have you tried prices for beach houses in St.Augustine?

Thinking about this, check the rates for the Mirador Motel in Hollywood Beach Florida. Very clean, all accommodations have kitchens, short walk to beach (literally a stone's throw) and heated pool.

Thank you everyone for your response - except Bardo1 (LOL)! We did find a beatiful oceanfront house & cottage in the keys for $3500 - so we arent that far off. Have not tried St. Augustine (will look now) but did find something in North captiva that may work. Again, thanks still hunting!
