Tell me everything I need to know about Chicago for two Brooklyn broads

Hi there..

Haven't been on here in a while since having a child. But now he's 4, and I'm ready to do a weekend without my kid! With my mon! For mothers day...

We've always wanted to go to Chicago. I plan on going Friday night, so that's a done day...Saturday all day and Sunday were leaving at 530 at night.

Questions:
We don't want to rent a car. Are there cabs?
Can I get a cabs?
Where is best 4 star hotel within walking distance to magnificent mile, Michigan avenue, and Chicago art institue...which is my primary reason for going as a former art history major.

Want a great Italian restaurant within walking distance too..

Am I asking for too much?

Thanks,

You will love the Art Institute. It's one of our nation's (if not the world's) best!

The Drake is at the north end of the Magnificent Mile.

Plenty of public transportation in addition to the cabs.
Plan to take the elevator up to the view in the Hancock Building. Go see the fish at the Shedd Aquarium.

Please tell us your budget..there are many wonderful hotels..Drake, Ritz, Four Seasons, etc. Go online to Hotels Chicago and take a look. What airport are you flying into? O'Hare? Take the "El" Blueline and that will take you to the Loop.
