Miami Beach clubs--older crowd

Going to Miami and my husband and I would like some night life. We however, are 40 and do not want the young hip crowd. Something fun, but more age appropriate.
Thanks

My husband and I also love to go "out" and drink, but not the "clubs". Our best bet is always the lobby lounges/etc., at hotels. Still the Miami "scene", but not like a club with a bunch of 2 year olds in 4" heels grinding against each other. Also, it's touristy, but fun to just walk the Ocean Ave strip at night and go into some of the little storefront bars/restaurants and have drinks there, too. Last, it's a total frat party atmosphere, but we go to the Clevelander one night - great outdoor bar, usually with bands on the weekend, and not the total "designer clothes" scene that many other Miami clubs have. I really enjoy it there - but just for one night!

If you like live music there are some cool places that aren't wall to wall kids partying.

Lately we like the Stage in Midtown. Check out the website to see if there is an act playing. http://thestagemiami.com/
Its also walking distance to a lot of great restaurants in the Design District.

Depending on the day it could be an art walk night - great time to check out the area. They also do Art Walks and other cool things in Wynwood.

As amurin mentioned it can be very hip to get a drink in the hotel bars - especially those like

The Mondrian
W
Ganesvort (actually its on the roof here)
Delano
Shore Club
Sagamore
(Id have to think of more - this is a quick list)

Ive caught a few glimpses of many a celebs amongst the crowds.
