Could someone please advise of taxi prices from JFK to Times Square?

Or is it cheaper to arrange a car service? We will be arriving very early on a Saturday and heading back to the airport very early on a Monday.

Find the website and check the ground transportation page.

Taxi fares to and from Manhattan and JFK airport (NOT to /from any other location or airport) are set at $45.
Add in the cost of toll(if any) plus tip of 15-20%

Car service prices are usually about the same, but I have noticed that Carmel Car service seems to charge a few dollars more than the $45 these days

Taxi is $45 plus tip and toll or ~ %60 total if they use a toll road. Car services like dial7.com cost about the same give or take a few dollars. At that price they don't give you "meet and greet" service standing inside with a sign with your name. You're asked to phone them when you've got your luggage and they tell you where to meet the driver. This also avoids your having to pay for parking and waiting time. Carmel has $4 off coupons on their website but I prefer Dial7.
