Hey, starrsville, I won't argue with you.
Everyone's taste is different. As you know, we didn't like Wicked. I certainly don't condemn you for liking (loving?) it!
And, for all you serious theatergoers, I've another recommendation: The History Boys. Its Tony award is so well deserved! An outstanding production that is a truly wonderful, wonderful experience!

Ms. LuPone was in our direct line of vision as well. She was just getting over a cold (my son went to see the show the week before and an understudy played her part). She needed a tissue or two during the performance. I just loved the whole concept of everyone on the stage!

I would also like to see History Boys. Are tickets hard to come by?

Midweek tickets for The History Boys are definitely available. The Playbill website today had a discount offer for midweek (Tuesday nights and both Wednesday performances).

Yes, I thought for many years that production with Angela Lansbury was the best show I had ever seen. But I liked this production even more, and it has taken over first place for me. I love the way the music, the words and the action go together, and to have the actors playing the music as part of the staging accentuates that aspect of the play.
