Super Bowl in Kauai

Auntie maria, or someone!!! We just realized that we will be in Kauai on Feb.6th for the Super Bowl. We're so excited, because it starts and runs so late in the midwest, that this will be great that it starts around 1:00 or 2m...if the sun's out, we'll probably sacrifice the game, but would like to have lunch somewhere at least to catch an hour of it...any ideas????? We're staying at the Poipu Sheraton, but drive a ton at home, and will probably go to the North Shore 2 or 3 times during our week stay, so we're open for any suggestions!! Pam Hey, I just previewed my message and this "sun" showed up...how did it get there? I see them on other posts, and always wonder..It's supposed to say 2m (2:00p.m.). just curious

The Marriott usually sets up a big screen poolside near the bar.

The Shack in Kapaa is about as close to a sports bar as you will find on Kauai.

If you're on the north shore, head to The Landing Pad (Princeville Airport), Hanalei Gourmet, or Tahiti Nui -- multiple TV sets will beam the game...and the bars will be open!

Hi Pam, we're planning a late-May trip, and staying at the Kaua`i Beach Resort (Kapa`a). I'll be looking forward to reading your trip report -- hope you are planning to do one??

Have you checked into going to a luau? I posted a thread and got some good feedback. Not sure I want to spend $60 per person -- may be interested in just the show, but I couldn't find anything that offers just the show.

BTW, I'll drink Bud, but actually, I'm a Wineaux.

Budman: Yes, I will be doing an extensive trip report when I return in mid-February..Our trip is 19 days (2 travel days) 3 in Oahu, 8 in Maua, and 7 in Kauai!! The luau we are doing is the Old Lahaina Luau in Maui, so I can't help with a Kauai choice, although I heard there is a nice one in Hanalei..auntiemaria would know more!! And silly me, thinking that Budman drank Bud!!! Well, I enjoy wine myself, so here's to Kauai--here, here!!!!!!!
