Sun River Vacation

Trying to get the family together next summer in Sun River. Looking to rent a house that sleeps at least 12 (4+ rooms), well stocked kitchen (we love to cook), hot tub, plenty of outdoor seating, some games for the kids--pool table, ping pong, etc.

Found a place that might work but don't see any reviews. Have emailed the owner but I thought I would see if anyone has stayed there:

Or, if anyone knows of other rentals that fit our needs, please let me know. Thanks!

I am not familiar with these properties, but you do realize they are not in Sunriver? They are south of there, looks like in La Pine.

If you are wanting a large family spot, stick with Sunriver. Sunray Inc is a property management company that we use for this same thing. Have also used Sunriver itself, but prefer Sunray. There are 2 homes though that are through Sunriver that would work well for what you want. We have been to both. Take a look at 3 Quelah Lane and 3 Hummingbird. Both are 5 bedroom homes and very nice.

mms- I was just about to post the same thing about these rentals not being at SunRiver - I think I would stick with Sunriver as well -

I have used SunRiver Reality in the past- not for a house though - condos.

The two houses I mentioned above, I have stayed at several times. The Quelah house would be my first choice because it has a large backyard so is easier for kids to play, etc. Deer are there in the early morning and the evening, so that is always a hit as well.

Thanks for the heads up that this is not in Sunriver. I'll check out Sunray, Inc. Forgot to mention we will have one dog with us...thanks for the help so far!

I've also rented from Sunray a few times. The homes were always exactly as represented.

Checked with the family and they are okay with staying outside of Sunriver BUT I can't find review of this place on any website. Is that a bad thing or maybe people just haven't written reviews?

Sunriver has so many amenities and activities---you should take the advice above and look for a house there. There are several rental agencies and many of them list duplicate properties. It is very easy to search for a house of suitable size and with the features you want. Start with selecting "pet friendly" and you can take your dog as well.

I agree with Enzian. The homes you were looking at look great, but it would not compare at all with staying onsite at Sunriver itself. For a large group it is nice to have so many options right there. There are bike paths, pools, tennis courts, canoeing, horseback riding, miniature golf, music in the village, etc.

I agree with Enzian and MMS - but if you insist on staying at the other one- I would guess you could call or emal the property manager and see if they have any reviews - the owners of Chinook Properties happen to be friends of mine.
