Sun country airlines

I am planning on flying with Sun Counrty airlines in August. Anybody flown with them before? How do they compare in service to Northwest airlines, on-time record etc? ANy boquets/brickbats? Thanks.

I've flown them several times and they're fine. I prefer them slightly to NWA. The big advantage NWA has is they have more flights/day so you have more options if you miss your flight or want/need to leave earlier/later.

Honestly, you could ask these questions about any airline and some people will tell you they hate it and others will say they love it. Look at the stats for your particular flight's on-time record vs. NWA's flight.

Sun Country is great! There is no comparison to NWA other than the flight schedule; since SC often flys at odd hrs or days. The flight attendants are friendly (they actually smile). You get FOOD on most flights FREE! If the flight times fit my schedule-I would have no problem flying SC.

I also recently flew Sun Country and it was great. I agree, the service was definitely friendlier than NWA-- not only w/ the flight attendants but also the gate agents. And, if you are flying out of MSP, I thought the Humphrey terminal was very easy (parking, etc) and less crowded.

Sun Country must be doing quite well because the owner recently built a $34M castle near here in northwest MN on Pelican Lake. The most expensive home in MN.
