Suggestions for Redlands?

While attending a graduation in Redlands, California we will have a free day that we need to fill. We will not have a car and are traveling with an eight year old. After looking online I have found the San Bernardino County Museum and Pharaoh's Lost Kingdom Theme Park (thinking about the water park part of the park). Would anyone recommend either the museum or the water park? Any other suggestions for fun things to do or places to eat would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!!

It's tough to see much without a car in the area.
For museums I would recommend the Kimberly Crest Mansion.

There are several good restaurants in downtown Redlands.

Gourmet Pizza Shop (cheap but excellent pizzas and beer)

Citrone (expensive continental)

The Farm (very expensive fixed price four course meals)

Joe Greensleeves (expensive American)

La Costa (very cheap but great Mexican)

Casa Maya (moderate but excellent Yucatan food)

I have not been to the museum but I can tell you that your 8 yr old with enjoy the theme park. It does tend to get a little crowded as there is not too much for kids to do in that particular area but overall I would say it would be time well spent.

Note Casa Maya is in Mentone about 3 miles from downtown Redlands. You will need a car to get there.
