I really need to know the best and easiest way to sight see , ie. Zoo, Midway Museum.
I also would love some restaurant suggestions and if anyone has opinions on any dinner cruises. Thanks so much!!

if your staying in Coronado, you can go to the Landing and catch a water taxi over to the SD Gaslamp and then cab it or bus to Balboa Park.
USS Midway you can walk to from the Gaslamp.
Hornblower has dinner cruises or you can dine at the Fish Market next to the Midway on the waterfront, Island Prime/C-Level or head to Shelter Island and eat at the Bali Hai.
They rent Segeways in Coronado.

Your best bet is Old Town Trolley Tours. It goes to Balboa/Zoo, Coronado and the UUS Midway.

There are regulated pedicabs in the USS Midway, GAslamp area too.
Not that many dinner cruises to choose from... Hornblower.

There is a bus from Coronado to downtown as well. It is pretty quick, since half the distance is on the bridge, with no stops.

The foot/bicycle ferries are $3.75 each way and stop at the foot of Broadway or near the Convention center:

In Coronado, Peohe's, Tent City, Miguels Cocina are great places to eat. Villa Nueva is a great place for breakfast or lunch. Its a bakery with a mexican touch.

I don't ordinarily like trolley tours, but in the case of San Diego, I think 1JAR is right: "Your best bet is Old Town Trolley Tours. It goes to Balboa/Zoo, Coronado and the UUS Midway."

San Diego is a sprawling town and Balboa Park is spread out over 1,200 acres.

Last May we drove to Balboa Park early on a weekday morning and got a prime parking place and, even at that, we got worn out walking (and we like to walk).

My husband and I just spent 3 nights in Coronado without a car and we were able to try lots of restaurants, all within walking distance of our B&B (if you haven't booked a room yet, check out http://www.1906lodge.com/ ) Visit their blog too for possible specials.

We also liked Chance Bistro. The food was really good and the staff friendly, though I wouldn't go there if I was in a hurry to eat. I didn't realize the 1906 Lodge is now a B & B. I'm glad to know it's overcome it's unsavory history before it became a B & B. I think it's interesting that the street address is not mentioned anywhere on their web site.

Never heard of the 1906 lodge house.

Barbara & ksucat: Many years ago a family (I believe from Utah) was vacationing near the site of the new B & B. Their young daughter was kidnapped but eventually recovered. She was severely traumatized. The man who held her lived at the house which was pretty much abandoned, run down, and a drug house for a lot of losers. I think 60 Minutes or some news show did a story about this incident.

But in all fairness it has been redone and looks nice - it certainly is in a great location in Coronado.

Wow, nanabee, I didn't see any of that in the brochure! Scary. I'd say it's definitely outgrown its shady history. It's a charming spot and the rates are very good. We loved being a block off the beaten path and had a little Del view from our room.
