Hi all - could someone please suggest a place to stay in St. Pete Beach with a 1 year old? Reading lots of conflicting reviews. Originally thought about the Beachcomber but now second guessing because we're worried about too much of a party atmosphere (and we're going in March - I know, I know... Spring Break). We're looking for something nice and clean, on the quiet side, on the beach, won't break the budget (but doesn't have to be super cheap - just not the Don CeSar!), bonus if we can get a suite so we can set up the crib in a separate bedroom. Thank you! Also, anyone familiar with the Plaza Beach Resort?

Go to Sarasota, St Pete Bch is turning into the worst tourist trap in Fl. its dirty, run down, and watch out for the local police they are not pro tourist.

lollyboo, There are lots of other towns north of St. Pete Beach like Treasure Is. Madeira, and North Redington Beach that are just as convenient to the city of St. Petersburg and it's all the same gulf of Mexico. The Doubletree in North Redington Beach http://www.doubletreebeachresort.com/ meets most of your requirements (not sure about a suite) on a nice quiet uncrowded beach not conducive to spring break partying. For spring break, noise, and partying: I'd go to Clearwater Beach.

We've always enjoyed the Bon Aire. Older, clean, family atmoshere. Separate bedrooms with kithens. Right on the beach.

Guess marko must be having a bad day. I would also suggest the Bon Aire. It's an older hotel (which means not a high rise) and it is close to everything, plus reasonable price. I live here in St Pete Beach, so I don't believe what marko says is accurate.

We were just in St. Pete Beach a month ago and stayed at the Island's End in Pass-A-Grille. It was clean, quiet, and reasonably-priced. We've also stayed at the Don CeSar Beach House, which I would also recommend.

Thanks all - I appreciate the suggestions (even the ones outside of St. Pete but we're not flexible on location -- visiting family who spend the winter down there and while we've been there a bunch of times we've always stayed with them. Just thought it would be too much of an imposition with a very active toddler this time!). I'll definitely check out the Bon Aire and Island's End in Pass-A-Grille - thanks!

aloha lollyboo,

We've enjoyed the Alden. Very clean... nice pool... quiet for the most part.

Close friends stay at the Bon Aire every year for 2 weeks and LOVE it.

St. Pete's Beach is great. Enjoy yourselves!
