Patrick,
A friend and I enjoy Telephone for its comfortable bar and early happy hour prices. And the food is pretty straightforward and reasonable. There's plenty of tables so you should have no trouble getting a table after the theater if you opt for this.

Mmmm. Early happy hour, did you say? Good way to check it out -- and Lady Bracknell is always funnier after having a few cocktails.
mmm. Bugswife, walk and eat a hot dog at the same time. You're kidding, right?

I just want to say, I don't think I'll ever be tired of The Importance of Being Earnest. DH & I just saw it last weekend (a Boston production) and even though I've seen it more than once before and just re-read the play, I still get a huge kick out of it. The wittiest play ever!

"Lady Bracknell. . . . Now to minor matters. Are your parents living?
Jack. I have lost both my parents.
Lady Bracknell. To lose one parent, Mr. Worthing, may be regarded as a misfortune; to lose both looks like carelessness."
Yep. Funny stuff. It gets me every time.

crif dogs have all manor of hotdogs, most of which are fried! btw...there is a "speak easy", that you can find by ringing the phone in the red phone booth at crif dogs. they open up after 5 i think. if they have space (it is tiny), you can come in.
