Much Needed Restaurant&Bar Suggestions for Weekend in NYC
Hi Everyone! My boyfriend and I are spending the weekend in NYC March 29th-30th. We are twenty-somethings celebrating our one year anniversary looking for a fun weekend! We are hoping to get to NYC around lunch time on Saturday...any suggestions on a GREAT place for some lunch time new york pizza? I think we are just going to roam around during the day, but what I really need help with is at night... We are looking for a fun dinner and then a place to bar hop/get drinks and watch college basketball...any ideas?? I heard east village might be a good place to do this??
OK so! Any ideas for...
#1. Pizza for lunch
#2. Dinner
#3. Drinks and Watching College Basketball
Thank you so much for any help!! I really want to make this a fun weekend
-Kristin

You have literally tens of thousands of options.
I suggest you check out Shecky's ... www.sheckys.com ... and other resources, then ask more specific questions.
For pizza ... Lombardi's, the oldest pizzaria in the USA. It's incredible and in a cool neighborhood.
Dinner? Thousands of options.
Sports bars? Check out Shecky's. Many of the best (in terms of crowd) are on the Upper East Side.
It's a BIG city with so many options ... good luck!

Pizza - Gnocco on E. 10th st makes a great brink oven pizza if you want to eat in the E. Village area.
John's on Bleecker is also very good.
If pizza by the slice, than Joe's on Carmine near Bleecker and 6th.
Dinner in E. Village (here's what comes to mind, there are so many places):
I Coppi
Lavagna
26 Seats
Col Legno
Tree
Five Points
Casimir
Moustache

Cacio e Vino is a great little Italian Restaurant w/ awesome pizza on 2nd Ave b/t Fourth and Fifth Street in the East Village. There are a ton of bars right around there. You could walk up 2nd Avenue to Telephone Bar, which is a great British pub (2nd Ave & Tenth). McSorleys is another bar and is a NY classic - (7th St. b/t 2nd and 3rd Ave). Swift bar b/t 2nd and 3rd ave is another fave.
