St Augustine beach & condo info

Planning a trip with arrival on Monday, Memorial Day thru June 2nd. Looking to rent a condo or town house on or very near the beach. Would like some info on weather and ocean water temp that time of year. Any suggestions an particular areas in or near St Augustine? I think a major problem will be finding a place that will rent for less than a full week at that time. I have been reviewing a lot of places on the VRBO web site but it's almost overwhelming.

Beachers Lodge <http://www.beacherslodge.com/> on Crescent Beach has oceanfront 1-BR condos available by the day. Ask for a 3rd or 4th floor unit for best views.

Weather should have daytime highs about 90F. Water, I am guessing, not yet 80F.

You could always rent for the week and just check in and/or out late/early if necessary.

We like Anastasia Condos on Dondanville Rd.
http://www.anastasiacondos.com/ Tallest building in the area! Higher floors have better views of course. No view from first floor condos.

Thanks for the input. We really need a two bedroom unit & prefer the low rise type of building. I did see a place at Crescent Beach that may be a fit. It is in a group called Spyglass Condominiums - townhouses I think. Anyone have any knowledge of this place and/ or the area.

Thanks Orlando Vic for the link. Found the address for the Spyglass condominiums & plugged it into Google Earth. Got a birds eye view of the complex and the surrounding area. If I can work out a less than a full weeks rental, this place may just fill the bill.

Try to have a "plan B" in place. It will be very difficult trying to get a condo for less than one week on a holiday weekend.

There may also be some restrictions imposed by the condo association that prohibit any rentals of less than one week. This might even apply to all condos in the area. Check it out to be sure, but don't be surprised if it is true. (My condo association has a 2-week minimum rental period.)
