South Padre Island
I need to know the name of some very good eating establishments. Price is not an issue, cheap or expensive is fine.
It would be great if they are kid friendly as well

They have reviews of many restaurants on the island and also can tell you which ones are more family-friendly.
I can tell you that the Sea Ranch is excellent food, but is NOT kid friendly at all.

We had good food at Jake's - just off Padre Blvd on AmberJack Blvd. (toward ocean). It appeared to us that it's where regulars eat. Another fun thing is to bring your own fish.... If you go fishing, you can bring in filets and they will cook it for you. It was really good. My son caught the biggest fish so he was really excited about it! They told us most restaurants in SPI will do that but each has a different way to cook it -- Jake's did ours fried with a cornmeal breading -- really good!

Ditto on Amberjacks -- nice on Friday nights when they have fireworks on the bay, too. We also enjoyed Italian food at Marcellos in Port Isabel. They had a lively karoke bar next door, too, which did get a little loud, so you might want to sit in the farther dining room.
A local told me the restaurant at the Radisson is good, and I had excellent broiled flounder at LaJaiba.
