South Haven Michigan B &B

Has anyone stayed at Yelton Manor in South Haven? We are looking for a quick weekend away and would like to stay in South Haven--any other B& B suggestions there?

Don't even THINK about staying at any of the knock-off wannabes in town...stay at The Yelton Manor, which is fabulous. I stay at B&Bs all the time and I daresay this is the finest around.

It's been years, and I don't know how close this is or if it's still operating as it was, but we loved The Pebble House. It's not high, high end but has a separate cottage that is darling and also a nice hammock/screened in area and a walk down beach front- very close to South Haven, I think. And Yelton Manor is very nice.

Again, I'll just point out that innlover has signed up with fodors just today to bump old posts (some nearly 5 years old!) to promote this Yelton Manor.

Stinks of advertising to me.

Teehee, very funny...the owners of The Yelton Manor can now feel free to sign the whole place over to me! Truth is that I just found Fodors and there are lots of other inns that I love as well, but the question was about The Yelton Manor. The Pebble House is gone now, sadly, it was very arts/craftsy and I liked it. Another great inn is The Chicago Pike Inn in Marshall.

innlover - Maybe you're being totally truthful. But you must have actually searched for these posts about Yelton manor to find them, as the ones you posted to are all old - anywhere from several months to nearly 5 years. You didn't just happen upon posts about Yelton Manor and give your opinion. You signed up and posted with the sole intention of plugging this place.

But, lots of people are asking questions all the time about inns all over. Hopefully you'll provide lots of useful info on others as well.

Yes, actually, I jumped right on plugging it as soon as I had a chance. Watch for me doing the same for other great inns.
And that's why they call me...innlover!
