Fern Dell and then up to Griffith Observatory is our favorite...plus you can go to the Griffith Observatory before you hike back down.

maitaitom are some parts of the hike on cement or mainly on dirt? I looked at the website but could use your feedback. Thanks and I'll look out for you and the dogs if I end up going on Sun. I do know what you look like after all.

Malibu Bluffs Park is across from Pepperdine. It looks like a little league field but enter then park around the left and head out behind the ball field, you'll find a nice little park with picnic tables and bluff views where you can enjoy your bag lunch or coffee and take a walk along the cliffs.
You should plan an afternoon/evening in Manhattan Beach one day,a different beach-town vibe than Santa Monica.
