Siesta Key on beach?
We are traveling with our 10 month old for the first time. Looking for some warm R&R. From what I have read, Siesta Key is a great destination. We would like a place with a kitchen and easy access to beach. Are there places to stay on the beach? Open to other suggestions and/or tips. Thanks in advance.

We have returned to Siesta Key every June for the last 7 years.
Returning again this year. We enjoy staying at the Jamaica Royale. Check out their web site www.jamaicaroyale.com
The beach is beautiful...powderery white sand - wonderful for walking.

We stayed at the Tropical Breeze Resort last Sept and really liked it. They have a lot of different accomodations and I am pretty sure they had ones with kitchens. This is a clean property within walking distance to, stores, restaurants and the beach - I know they have about 4 units directly on the beach, too. I would check out their website and you can see all the different rooms, etc.

We have stayed at the El Presidente in the past. Nice clean property, on the beach, nicely laid out with great views "if" you get a condo close to the front of the building. We went back to the area this year and stayed at Englewood and were disappointed with the beach--it's amazing how just 40 minutes south the beach can change. We took two day trips back up to Siesta just because we like the beach so much. While there, we popped in a few other condos while there and looked around. Mostly all we looked at were nice...if nothing else, the views were all great! You will enjoy.
