SF Museums....help!

We're in SF for 2 full days, 3 nights.....Looking to add experiences similar to that of Greenwich in NYC.

We're staying in Union Square. And would also love input on cool places to go for drinks/appetizers.

Can't do it all, but which ones do you think are "musts". We're interested in the following:

1) Activities
Museum of Modern Art
Legion
de Young
Exploratorium
Golden Gate Park (Conservatory of Flowers)

2) Food
Ferry Bldg/Farmers Mkt (Sat. morn)
Zuni Cafe
Yank Sing
Plouf or Lulu's
Delfina
Quince

3) Hayes Valley (shopping, ambiance)

Thanx!

Is this your first time to SF? If so, I think there are other things that I'd put higher on my list of to-dos than most of the museums. However, the Ferry Building farmers' market is fantastic, don't miss it. Maybe you could catch a ferry from there to Marin county (Sausalito?) or Angel Island for the afternoon? If you hike at all and it's a nice day, the climb to the top of Angel Island gives the best view of the Bay Area I've seen. I can't remember where the ferrys run to from that dock - you might have to leave from the Pier 39 area to get to Angel Island.

If you are interested in museums, I think the Asian Art Museum is very highly regarded, and more unique to SF than SFMOMA.

So much is of course dependent on what you like. I really enjoyed the SFMoma and the deYoung. I would make a point of going to them again next time I was in SF. But of course, I'm not as fond of Asian Art so there you go!

Unless the Legion of Honor has a special exhibit you will find better European art collections in Chicago, New York and D.C. The de Young is interesting both for its architecture and for some of its collections--I feel that the Meso-American collection is particularly well exhibited. The MoMA has a very good photography collection and the Asian Art is unique.

Thx for the input. We've been to SF before. This time we want to make it about Art, Food and Drink!
