September weather in Key West?
My husband and I are considering a short trip to Key West Sept 10 - 13, but I'm a little worried about the weather. Is that the rainy/hurricane season? Any advice? Thanks!

We were in Key West in September of 2001. Actually, ended up stranded there after 09/11. Anyway, the weather was hot and sunny the entire time we were there. It is hurricane season, but if one is coming you'll have plenty of warning. The bad thing about traveling there then is that a couple of my favorite restaurants are closed pretty much the entire month, Blue Heaven and Seven Fish. Jean

I was there for a few days in September 2003. The weather was generally hot and sunny but there were a few big showers lasting a couple of hours each day. One day was very wet in the morning and early afternoon but it cleared up incredibly and by late afternoon it was sunny.
The showers were often quite refreshing. Most locals were saying the few days we were there had been characterised by more rain than normal. It didn't stop any of our sightseeing. If the rain came we just dived into a bar for an hour until it had gone.
The best thing is probably that it's not as busy in September as many other months and the weather shouldn't put you off.
