We always check weather.com out before we travel. Its pretty helpful. Hope it helps. Sept is also peak hurricane season.

Any information about late July-early August KW weather - not that I have any flexibility? Think it will be hot and humid, which has been true all the other times in summer.

this has been the busiest hurricane season in quite awhile.

hot and humid go hand and hand with key and west.

good god, don't say hurricane - no way! Can you imagine evacuating up Rte. 1. Hot, humid, sure, the Green Parrot is a cure for that. Hurricanes, bad news in KW. I think I might even opt to ride it out.

The "Officials" evacute the Keys including the tourist when there is a hurricane threat. The good news is the Keys do not seem to get hit as often as the main part of Florida.

I would bet even The Green Parrot closes for a hurricane. It is nothing you want to take lightly. July, Aug, and Sept are all hot and humid.....probably not much of a difference between the 3. Don't let hurricane season scare you away. The risk in minimal. I think I heard one stat that said you have better odds to be in a plane crash flying down to Florida then getting there and being in a hurricane.

Trust me on this one, you do not want to ride out a hurricane.
