Secret Beach Cottages in October

I just made reservations for Secret Beach Cottages for this October for my honeymoon. Wondering if anyone has stayed there and has any tips. We are in Hale Nanea. Is five nights enough? Or should we stay four and move to another island? Kinda bumbed Amy said the ocean is too rough for swimming in October. Are the other islands the same? Any thoughts? And did anyone do a catered dinner or massage? How were they? Thanks for the help! Dying to go but just worried October will not be optimal... Thanks!

Aloha sully,

Check out Nancy's trip report & photos of Secret Beach from last year... her wedding has given me inspiration for my 25th wedding vow renewal here....

Many congrats and happy planning!

Hale Nanea is very small but ohhhhhh soooo exquisite. I toured it when it was firts built and thought it would be perfect for a honeymoon. You will not be disappointed.

October can be an iffy month for weather. It can be spectacular or it can be rainy, it's a crapshoot. Secret Beach could possibly be too rough for swimming in October. But heck, you may never want to leave this perfect little hideaway.

sully76, Secret beach is almost always dangerous to swim at. But right down the road is Kalihiwai beach that can be dead flat. If thats too rough, Anini beach is always calm as it is protected by a large reef. Anini is less than 5 minutes from your location.
