seattle downtown hotels
I am planning a trip to Seattle with my parents. We cannot decide between the Westin, Summerfield Suites or Springhill Suites. We will not have a car so I would like to know which hotel would be more convenient with transportation and/or closer to the main attractions. Also which hotel would be near to a drug store, grocery store?
Thanking you advance for your responses.

I've stayed at both the Westin and the Spring Hill Suites. It's comparing apples and oranges. The Westin is better located and is more of a business/ convention hotel with the typical Westin features. The Spring Hill Suites is newer, closer to the freeway and the rooms are probably more suited to families. The walk to the main sites from this location will be 6-8 blocks longer than the Westin. Both are fine. The Westin is more in the downtown area and is probably significantly more expensive.

We stayed at Summerfield Suites for 4 months last year. The room was nice and the location is great. They have a van that will take you to Pike Place Market and it is only a short walk. I didn't drive at all there. The room service is good. Tapas style food.

The Westin is far better located than the others.
There are several drug stores in the downtown area that are walkable from the Westin (moreso than the others.) There are a couple of 7-11 type food shops here and there, and of course the Pike Market has it all. No big downtown supermarket, if that's what you're asking, exept you can take the bus (straight from the Westin) to the wonderful Uwajimaya supermarket/Asian superstore in the International District (ask the bus driver for directions) which will knock your sakis off.
