Scottsdale temps

How hot should I expect it to be in Scottsdale the second week of October?

That time of year is usually around mid-eighties, but really it is impossible to predict.

I was just there last Thursday and Friday and it was high 80's to low 90's. Lovely really. Quite different from my visit six weeks before that, it was 105 then, too hot for my blood, hee.

Check out happytrail's site for averages, etc.

Enjoy October, it should be great.

Thanks. Where I live it's 54 and sunny today. I just went for a walk coatless, so as you can see, 99 degree temps would be miserable for me.

Actually, hopingtotravel, you might be surprised at how 99 degrees feels with little or no humidity. At any rate, I doubt it will be that hot in mid Oct.

I think it will most likely be in the low 90's, which is very comfortable if you have lived thru the arizona summer. Not so comfortable if coming from a cooler place, but that is only the temp around 3-4 pm, otherwise is very pleasant.

Some years the temperature seems to just plunge thru the 90's and go from 100 into the 80's within a couple of weeks - seems chilly then to me.

Today is about 100, cooling this weekend to mid 90's.

What time of year do you get highs of 65? That's my upper limit of comfort to do anything active.

(I was in Stockholm in August once - it was the perfect summer weather to me - I wish I could bottle it for NYC).

About the only months where the average high is 65 is in Dec & Jan and maybe into February. However, you can also have some warmer days during that time. Of course if the high is only 65 except to see everyone in Arizona bundled up in coats. LOL
