Scottsdale Weather in October?
Well, I think I've finally decided to use my Southwest Airlines vouchers on a trip to Scottsdale. It's a stress free trip for me since I've been there before (always in the winter) and love it. My husband has never been and I know he will like it. The catch is that we have to go before October 15th. My plan is to go October 10 - 15. Any idea what we can expect weather wise? Will it be 100? I hope not.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I find the weather really nice in mid-October...still warm but not hot. September can still be hot. This is the time of year where the dry heat really makes a difference. You will be amazed that if it is 98 degrees out it won't be as bad as you think.

I've decided against Scottsdale in October. We are having a pretty hot summer here in the Detroit area (many days - including today - where the temps get into the nineties and the humidity is high. I can't wait for October here in Michigan. I certainly don't want to go back to summer in October, so I've decided against the trip, for now.
I really want to take my husband to Scottsdale in February - now that is a beautiful time to visit Arizona!
Thanks for your thoughts.

Autumn in the Midwest is hard to beat, and you may be making a good choice. After a Midwestern winter, however, you really should break loose and come out to Arizona in March or April when things are in bloom, temperatures are perfect, and you need a break ever so much.
But don't be stuck in Scottsdale. AZ has seven climate zones, depending on the altitude. Drive around, soak in some rays, and see what you have been missing all winter long in cold, cold, cold Detroit! Welcome to AZ!
