Scottsdale Hotel Help

My husband, myself and another couple (in our fifties) are spending a week in AZ in April with the last 2 days in Scottsdale. We are looking for a hotel/resort under $250. Opinions on:
McCormack Ranch Resort
Sunburst Resort
Hilton Scottsdale Resort and Villas
Doubletree Paradise Valley or La Posada
We want a place that is fairly central and with updated rooms, a nice pool and grounds.

2 years ago we got the McCormack Ranch for about $125 on Priceline. It's a nice resort, but not as nice as some in the area (there are some incredible places, but definitely pricier). For the price, it couldn't be beat. In fact they even upgraded us (for free because they ran out of basic rooms), to a 3 bedroom townhouse (we were family of 4). I think we really lucked out with the ugrade, but even if we had a regular room, we would have been pleased for that price. You may consider trying your hand at Priceline. Check biddingfortravel.com for info.

Do a search here for lots of info, including the difference between the two Doubletrees (one is more business oriented, can't remember which one, though)

Thanks for the suggestions. We are not able to go the priceline route due to wanting the ability to cancel if we need to. Does anyone know if the McCormack Ranch rooms have been updated? Several reviewers on Trip advisor mentioned this as a concern. At this point we are leaning towards the Sunburst. Many reviews on this site of the hotels I mentioned in my post are not that recent. Anymore suggestions
