Savannah, GA or Charleston, SC

Looking to plan a romantic getaway w/ my husband - interested in Savannah, GA or Charleston, SC - have never been to either - love romantic inns, great restaurants, old houses, long walks, which city would you recommend and why?

Both cities would fit the bill for a romantic weekend, but they have very different personalities.
Savannah is hipper, playful and mysterious. Charleston is elegant, bright, welcoming.
Both have great restaurants, accommodations and historical tours. Savannah is more intimate. My husband and I did both cities on a week-long tour last fall. I loved them both.

Charleston has better shopping, dining, accommodations, architecture, and attractions.
