Question about tickets to the New York Met Museum
Is there usually a long line to buy tickets to the Met Museum? Should I order tickets online or just show up at the museum? I tried calling the number found on the museum site today and all it did was ring and ring and.... No answer, not even a recording.

There is a link to TicketMaster (I think) to purchase tickets, but I'm thinking there would be additional charges.

No - a line to buy tickets is not an issue - unless it's for one of the special timed ticket exhibitions. Even on Sundays there are rarely more than 6/7 people on line for general admission.

They're closed today, but they could at least have a recording!

Thanks, we'll wait for tickets until we get there. And, I completely forgot about them not being open Mondays. That explains it.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art is so massive, you will not have any trouble buying tickets or seeing anything unless it is a popular exhibit.
