Savannah or Charleston? Can't decide!

Girlfriend trip, first we had settled on Charleston, now someone brings up Savannah. Anyone out there that has some insight into which may be the better pick for 6 crazy ladies to enjoy and why?

How much time will you have? And what do you want to do? Will you be driving? You may have time to do both.

For great food and pleasant walks and just hanging out-Charleston.

If you want to party more and be out late and have more of a social scene-Savannah.

I too am trying to decide between Charleston and Savannah for a romantic long weekend w/ my husband - love great inn's, restaurants, walking - which do you suggest?

well..sorry if it was me...but definitely Savannah! I just loved walking around, sitting in the little squares, and the friendly people- just don't stay on the waterfront, found that a little too touristy.

Savannah-The age-old Fodor's debate. My opinions are just personal preferences. We love the town with its many beautiful houses and squares.Only Savannah has the home of the Girl Scout founder???? I tried!
