San Francisco walking tour suggestions
I am going to San Francisco for the week between Christmas and New Years. I'm traveling by myself, staying at a hotel on the Embarcadero. I was last in SF about 35 years ago.
I'm happy to spend some time exploring on my own, but I'm also looking for recommendations for some small-group walking tours or other activities that are maybe a little less mainstream than ones that hit the main tourist sites. Since I'll be alone, these can be a good way to connect with other people for part of a day.
Google has brought up a few -- http://wildsftours.com/, http://www.architecturesf.com/index.html, and http://www.cruisinthecastro.com/tours.html -- that look appealing. Anyone whose done any of these or any others you can recommend?
Thanks!

Donation only walking tours that cover a wide variety of interest. We have done dozens of them and with the exception of 1, they were all interesting, well done and we enjoyed them immensely.
Supported by the public library and city of SF, so give at least $5 a person, we usually do $10 a person. The guides are all volunteers, the money goes directly to running the program.
