San Francisco Report-Intro
Hi Fodorites, A trip report of our 3.5 day visit to SF will follow. This is to introduce myself. donco is Donna company, short for donco by design. I'm a digital photographer.
DH and I have taken our vacations to Italy and Paris and haven't travelled in US very much. Our thinking was that overseas travel was more strenuous and we'd save U.S. visits (with its better facilities for handicapped) when we got older. Well, we got older!
I first asked a question on the Italy forum many months ago and have since gotten hooked. It's great to get info not in the books from people who love travel. So hello, thanks to those of you who have helped and booo to those who weren't very constructive. Our trip to SF is called "The Hills are Alive with the Sound of Wheezing"...
Until this trip, we used a travel agent. She has retired so this trip was arranged on internet. I did everything on Orbitz (including insurance) and all went smoothly. Got tickets for Alcatraz via Net as well (thanks Fodorites). OK, here goes.....
