San Diego restaurants - 8 girls in their 20s

Hi all - i'm not very familar with the San Diego area but I will be there with a group of friends and we are looking for a fun restaurant that is preferably on the water or has a nice view.

We are interested in good food, though not somewhere too fancy or formal. We'll be staying in the Coronado area so we would prefer recommendations that aren't too too far away.

Price isn't really an issue - we just want somewhere with a good atmosphere and tasty food -- in particular sushi or steak.

Thanks in advance!

Island Prime on Harbor Island or Fish Market near downtown.

The Brigantine in Coronado has the best everyday happy hour of some of the best fish tacos for under $3 and great marg's and lots of other seafood items..
Miguel's next door is also great for Mex.
Island Prime in SD across from the Airport on Harbor Island..you can take the water taxi and then short cab to the restaurant.
Fish Market downtown and sit outside on the deck for app's and drinks..they have an excellent sushi bar.
Candelas in Coronado is another great option.

Il Fornio, Coronado is right on the water next to the Marriott:

Not steak or sushi but right on the water.

For a casual idea, try Point Loma Seafoods. It is right at the Marina. It is usually a favorite of most folks.

Il Fornio is a great choice, eat at night and request a patio seat. The San Diego skyline is beautiful!! Plus the food is wonderful too.
